BOOKS

Marshall's first book will be in stores this September,
and posted on Amazon.com by mid-summer.
St. Martin's Press is the publisher.
"The book is based on twelve of my songs I call my 'lifesavers,'" Marshall says. "It's the stories behind the songs. Naturally, I picked the ones that had the best stories!"

Marshall's first published essay, "Going to Church: A Sartorial Odyssey," appears in Hub City Anthology 2. A story about growing up in a South Carolina mill town, "Going to Church..." traces the spiritual and religious path of a young woman coming of age in the 1960s. Spanning four decades from her childhood in Enoree to a rehab chapel in Nashville, Marshall takes you on a ride
you won't want to miss!

     Marshall is featured in
Hub City Music Makers, a book focusing  on musicians from Spartanburg, South Carolina, and their influence
